my amazing lil room..

So this is my awesome little room on the roof of the orphanage. I love the fact that it has a tin roof so I've had many a night falling to sleep to the sound of rain on my tin roof : ) Another great fact of the room is the new bed, when I got there they had a "smaller" bed but then wanted to put this other bed in my room, I can't really tell them no. So they put this bed in that takes up way more room then the first one and if i lay completly flat my head touching the headbord and my feet the footboard.haha But it is a nice bed (i just hope the next guy to come stay isn't very tall.hehe). And Nepal is awesome enough to grace me with some room mates, there is Tony the crickett and Piper the lizard who I've come to know and love. If you look closely at the bottom picture you will notice the brooms proped aganist my dresser. And yes I have become quite good at sweeping out my carpeted room. Oh and it isn't in the pictures but I do have a fan! It is a life saver! It gets so hot up in my room! Although it is kinda a dying fan and takes like 4 or so min to actully start from the time you turn it on and sometimes decides it needs a break and will randomly turn off and then a while later back on. But yes I love my room and will miss it when I get home.

p.s. those creepy bears hanging on the wall are NOT mine. I really wish I could just take them down so I didn't have to stare at them all the time but alas I guess those decorations just come with the room : )

a few pictures from life here...

Wednesday afternoons Jenn teaches a women's bible study. It has been such a joy to be a part of and I have grown to love these ladies so much! they are such a joy to be around.

One of the ladies from the Church and her husband have an awesome painting store. Her husband is an amazing painter and she does some wax pictures also.
Sunday evenings is fellowship with some of the other single missionaries. So this past Sunday it was at Leah's so we made the most amazing 'xtra special celebration cake' for no good reason what-so-ever except that we wanted to say we have made an xtra special celebration cake. And it was quite tasty i might add : )

15 days and counting till i get on a plane headed for America...

Parker.
well here is your shoutout.
i'm glad you think i'm the coolest girl on the asian continent.
the end.

His love is strong.

16 days.
I can't believe my time is coming to a close here. It feels like forever ago that I said goodbye to my family and friends and went to PA for training. God has taught me so many lessons and got me through so many things. I know coming home is going to be a hard adjustment but I know for a fact that God will be there for me and I will get to learn yet another lesson. He has been faithful through this whole trip and I know this is a trip that I got to share with Him and no one will ever be able to fully understand everything we went through together.
Last night was fellowship and there were only 5 of us there singing worship songs, usely I'm a somewhat timed singer but I just closed my eyes just gave it all to God and sang to Him, sang boldly to the love of my life and I felt so content, so loved, I could have sang forever. I love that when I think I couldn't be loved more He finds a way to show me His love just that much deeper.
It will be weird adjusting back to life in the USA. Nepal is so slow paced and simple. One thing I hope I can accomplish when i get home...even if people don't understand what I've been through...I hope somehow I can show them this burden God has given me for this mountain kingdom and more people will pray. Pray for the people of Nepal.

here are some verses that have been an encourment to me over the past months here:

"Let God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face to shine upon us.
that Your way may be known on earth,
Your saving power among all nations.
Let the peoples praise you, Oh God;
let all the peoples praise you!:
Psalm 67:1-3

"Cast your burden on the Lord,
and He will sustain you;
He will never permit the righteous to be moved."
Psalm 55:22

"Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.
For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that He powerfully works within me."
Colossians 1:28-29

Ok well I just wrote out this nice and long blog and then it disappeared! No fun! So I'll try to write it all again although I will say it probably won't be as long or wordy as the first : )
So everyone keeps complaining about how i don't update my blog...I'm sorry i don't. I guess I'm just really bad at this blog thing. But for the sake of my friends and family I will update ya'll a bit today : )
So good news the orphans are all healthy this week! Its awesome. For awhile I thought maybe there were just always sick : ) I love those kids so much! Every time I think about leaving I get so sad with the fact that I will have to say goodbye to them. So I just take each day with them as it is given to me and pour myself into those little ones.
Well the kinda big thing I've done lately is that Leah and I went trekking with a group of guys through lower Mustang. It was awesome. Nepal is a beautiful place and so I loved just being out trekking through it! We were even able to go to this one village and were able to lead a father and daughter to Christ! Praise Jesus! And in that same village there was a believing couple who one of the guys on our trip got to baptise! God is really moving and it was awesome and such a privilege to be a part of it. God really taught me some lessons while being out there. One thing I loved was the prayer aspect of things. Just being able to stand in that village or in someones house and be able to pray for them was awesome. And also with all the trekking we were doing I was able to have some amazing quite times with God in his awesome creation. Yup there definitely was a lot of prayer going on though out my time there : )
Yesterday I got to go to a temple (i forget the name of it) where they do cremation. It was crazy. Standing there and being able to just look across the river and see burning heaps and know that those are bodies they are cremating is just crazy. Walking around in there it is just an oppressive feeling of darkness. After being there like 10min. I was ready to leave but I think it is so good to be able to see and feel the darkness these people are living in. I think it is easy to forget the darkness that I'm living in here but going to this temple really makes you see and remember how blinded these people are.
Pray for them, that there eyes will be opened to the truth. God is really moving here even though at times it is hard to see. I am so privileged to be able to be here and see the things God is doing in and through these people.

So now I've been gone almost 5 weeks (since I was in PA for a week). I've never been away from home longer then 5 weeks so we'll see how this goes! But I really feel like this is becoming home to me. I guess I can tell partly by the way I've become so bad at journaling which I am usely really good at when I'm on trips : ) And also as much as i miss home it makes me really sad to think about leaving Nepal.
