Josh Moore

So the other week I got an unexpected phone call from a friend of mine that I haven't seen in a good 3 almost 4 years. We met on a mission trip to Ireland the summer of 2004. So our friendship since then has mostly consisted of aim or random e-mails each summer and maybe a few phone calls. But he was just calling to see how life was treating me and catch up.

Well last year he went and lived in Nepal for 6 months and lived in an orphanage (hum a little resemblance?) So of course I brought up my up coming trip to Nepal. Oh my word! He was such an encouragement to me.

He told me about not touching people on there heads and being sure not to point my feet at people while I'm sitting but he also told me about the brokenness and all the tears I will shed. I guess I had figured I would but I feel like now I'm a little more ready for it. I know what I'm going to go through a little more. He talked to me about the fact that this is going to be a trip of me and God. Because when I get back no one will ever be able to fully understand all I went through. He said I had guts to do this because not many other girls would jump into something like this and he also said I would most definitely be in his prayers. When I got off the phone I just felt so refreshed and encouraged.

If I were to think back on my life and pick out the people who have made the biggest impact on my life he would defiantly be on that list. I couldn't even count the ways he has encouraged and inspired me to do things that I would other wise be afraid of or think were worthless.

I think this trip is the scariest, most exciting thing I've ever gotten myself into and I can't wait for it all to unfold.

p.s. Josh is the one on the left (and then Tim is on the right)

elections

So for a little update on whats happening in Nepal...
They are going to be having there first ever elections on the 10th. There is potential for much violence and killings on that day. The communist party there has said they will win at any means...so if they don't win it could be really bad. There have even already been some bombing in the city.
So please pray for safty and peace. Jenn was saying there is a lot of spiritual warfare going on in this nation. Please don't ever forget to pray for the missionaries there who have such a heart for these people.
Thank you guys so much for the all the prayers.
